The Chestina House is a 90 day residential facility designed to meet the needs of men suffering from substance abuse disorders. During the first 30 days of residency, restrictions are enforced. After the initial 30 days of residency, the restrictions are relaxed and residents must seek employment. There is a $200 application fee.

Recovery Place Ready For Work Program

RFW Program is a transitional program for individuals who have a substance abuse problem. The average length of stay is between 6 and 12 months. This facility has 12 beds. Each woman must complete 8 weeks of parenting classes before hey can work.
• Are without a job because of substance abuse;
• Are medically safe to treat on an outpatient basis;
• Do not need detoxification
• Are without cognitive impairments or chronic mental illness.
Residential Program is the transitional program for women without children, or they cannot bring children to the facility. They must be working after a 30 day period, and must also begin paying a $95 service fee and rent. The average length of this program is 6-9 months.
Independent Living Program provides a 1-2 month stay for clients who are ready to move on from the program. They provide services to individuals who are higher functioning, and they are free to go as they please. Must come into the program from either TANF or Residential.

The Salvation Army offers a shelter that provides a safe environment for men, women or families. Other services such as case management and counseling are available. They have recently added the CSRC- CORE SALVAGE REHABILITATION CENTER to their list of services.

Savannah Counseling Services

The Savannah Counseling program assists severely chemically dependent individuals in obtaining a healthy, alcohol and drug-free lifestyle. They do this through short-term, comprehensive, cost-effective treatment in a rehabilitative environment. These services are appropriate for persons in the earliest phases of recovery, often immediately following detoxification, and for persons who have not been able to successfully utilize community support groups, outpatient or intensive outpatient therapy programs to maintain sobriety. Savannah Counseling provides a sliding scale fee which will allow for a reduced payment for services based on income and family size.
